Years of intensive development led to the creation of the new Oladra Platform. That work also revealed how many of those advances could be applied to a more value-focused range.

The Gen5 Kala Platform draws directly from the insights gained through Oladra, refining them into a simpler and more accessible form, and developing its own innovation. It is not Oladra at a lower price, but a platform shaped by the same deeper understanding of what matters in digital audio.

Kala also benefits from the all-new Oladra software stack, bringing major advances in usability, integration, and overall system performance.

In hardware, the Kala Platform continues to use carefully selected and customised high-quality industrial motherboards, while the Kala 50 shares its Core CPU and Chipset with the new Oladra models. This gives the Kala 50 greater power reserves for managing large music libraries and DSP with ease, while also lifting sonic performance through greater clarity, immediacy, and naturalness.

The Kala 20 is tuned for exceptional performance at its level, delivering a presentation that is faster, more open, and deeply engaging musically.

Each model is compelling in its own right, or can be used together as separate Server and Player for a further step forward in performance.

Importantly, the Gen5 Platform has also been developed so that many past Antipodes models can be upgraded to benefit from these advances.
